“You are now famous enough to use the kiss my arse expression”
- Fable 2

Heard just now for the first time (yes, I’m late to the party). Any favourites out there?

Apart from the brilliant writing, just got to say how much I’m enjoying the game. It’s a really nice mix of casual hack and slash with some reasonably deep social systems in place, a nicely thought out and interesting economy system. I’m actually finding myself more worried about the house I’ve just bought getting a new tenant after evicting someone I don’t like rather than fussing over silly things like…equipment.

The lack of defensive items in terms of clothing etc though has thrown me a little, not sure what the design decision was based in giving all clothing a purely aesthetic purpose. Guess it comes with the period setting.

Anyway, back to talking to my digital dog friend and killing bandits. Had to share.

Edit: Finished the main quest line. Great experience overall, will be diving straight into second play through and some co-op sooner rather than later.

Im stuck on a quest, its part of the main one. You have to kill wave after wave of random creatures. Damn I need some money for better stuff. Just cant be bothered hitting A over and over at the blacksmith :@

  • Con

    Ahhh, the Crucible?

Money is a bit of a problem early on, I found that wood chopping (in Oakfield) was the easiest and least boring way to rack up some gold.

Once I’d accumulated enough, I bought some stalls in Bowerstone and now I’m a regular mogul, got property all over the place and a constant stream of income.

  • Ethan

Dude i luved that game i wish i could make games. How did u make con games. U should put up a page with ur bio or something.

  • Ethan

O ya and in fable 2 i’ve bought every single piece of property. thought i would point that out.

  • Ranger250

    Geez nice

  • Con

What sort of income does that bring in Ethan? My few places is bringing in around 700 gold every five minutes, can’t imagine what owning “all” of the property racks up.

  • Ash

“I prayed 27 times this morning, but my record is 49″ How the ****?

I just made 100,000 from working so im gonna but a few stores and get some cash flowing in, better divorce the animated wife too with all the money shes taking (its an achievement, worth about 100g if you get kid aswell)

hey i just want to say fable 2 is great but oblivion is even better in my opinion. it is more in depth and it has SO MUCH MORE THINGS IN IT. im not bashing fable or fable 2, i love them, but i think its better.

  • http://donthaveone ewet8

oh and bye the way hi i havent said much in a while;)

  • Ash

I never played oblivion, I only got my xbox at christmas, so I have like 10 games atm.

  • Ethan

Ok wat i did is just buy property and a hint is to leave ur 360 on all night. U make money faster when ur playing then when ur not. It does take a lil while. Just buy a lot of property. Right now my income is 11000 rouphly and all my property is at -25%.

  • Ethan

    O and i agree with ewet8.

  • Ethan

though i like fable 2 combat a bit better

  • Ash

Im starting to play gta 4 again now, im getting addicted to the online game modes.

Might go on fable tonight to finish the cubicle, but need to buy a master sword and some descent armor first.

  • Archr

I’m so close to ruler of albion! 1.16 mil! =(
And I havn’t even finished the main quest =P
A tip for the starters: Buy stalls! Trust me,I had 900 gold, bought the drink stall in bowerstone, went to sleep, woke up with 200 gold (yes, I sleep for a long time =P) then just got a bartending job. Seriously, bartending rocks. On level 5 bartending, its 75 gold a beer. every 3 beers is a multiplier.
Your can be making 150 a beer before you even finish a sword in blacksmithing, and wood-chopping takes 10 chops just to get a multiplier! =O

Anyway, I’m rich and evil, but I keep getting a halo for no reason! so I just go kill some guards =P.
Oh, and the crucible is easy, but the reward sucks. My master cleaver is better than that =|

i think fallout 3 is better theres so much more stuff than oblivion or fable the game is so big its not funny . actully it is a rwally funny game

  • fancyguy

all u have to do to get money is do the bartending job (its the esiest to “rank up” trust me) and then buy some stally, then u can bartend for about 1 and a half hours or come back to the game in about a week then buy a major store. just keep going with that and you’ll be rich, i know, i own the bowerstone mantion! :D

    “No,i´m gonna cheat.”
    From Saints Row 2.

Owning well most of it all….in fable usually brings in like 1.5 million gold and as for fallout having more than oblivion did I would have to STRONGLY disagree the amount of quests in fallout is like 30-45 I think? It took me maybe 75 hrs to do absolutely every quest and explore the majority of the map but in Oblivion without using any mods or expansions probably took me a good 150+ hours to do it all but with expansions and player created mods in the mix probably took (so far) 375+ hours for me but anyway back on topic my favorite is……If I had a quarter for every time I said “if I had a nickel”, I would have 5 times the theoretical money.

  • Brandon

Oh BTW easy way to jump start everything in fable is to find a friend that has enough money to be willing to loan you like 250k to start buying real estate

  • buleleader

my favorite quot is from Albert Eisenstein,
I do not know how the third world war will be fought but the forth will be fought with sticks and stones.

  • Huivn

a cheat buy sume property&set the clock ahead a month causeing you to have the max the game will stack for you depending on the amount of real estat u own-BTW the guys reaction when ur joining the temple of shadows is HILARIOUS

Making easy money is simple in Fable 2. All you have to do is be “good” at the beginning and have Bowerstone Old Town become a bustling area of the world. Once this is done, the rest is simple. Go to the weapon stall in the Bowerstone Old Town, and buy all you can for the discount you get for being good. Then, run back into the market and sell them at normal price to the blacksmith. Do this, and money flows in. This is how I made my main income and purchased every building an item in the game. If you need help with achivements, look me up, I have nearly all of them. But before you ask, no, I don’t have the dolls. But you can find three (Maybe four) in your world without even going online if you have See Into the Future!
