In my opinion (which is in no way right) the pictures that have been released, specifically the one titled “OP16201813208″, make it seem like this game will be Isometric like Fallout and Fallout 2. Also with the bombs being dropped (most likely by HERC) I think that this will be close to Fallout.

Again, just speculation but, in the update titled “Day 350″ there are also some sketches that make me think it will be a strategy type game, as opposed to a shooter.

As to what the storyline will be about I’m not sure, most likely it will revolve around either the bombs that have been detonated, or just scavenging to survive.

What do all of you think? I’m curious to know.

In UC, I pretend my guy is a HERC soldier who goes AWOL at the outbreak of the infection. It helps explain why I have a HERC outfit in my inventory, and why my guy is such a zombie killer from the jump. I don’t grab it or the advanced weaponry until after I get home, tho.

this looks like a new game their developing and the “dead zone” is now abandoned. They plan to nuke it…. which is why HERC is trying to secretly put that message in military personal code. @confused people, at the end of TLS:UC, jack (from TLS 1 and TLS 2) and his group of survivors didnt get on the boat, and if you look at the scenery throughout your mad dash from the zombie horde at the end of TLS:UC, you will see no other boats…Jack and his group got stuck at the city, and fled to the other towns to try to survive, day 350 and day 412 are just log’s from his time, since he has no way of escaping he’s now stuck on the mainland, trying to survive. this is in no doubt how the game is going to be, these updates are teasers for TLS 4, which takes place most likely directly after TLS:UC, or a certain amount of time after the event. when he refer’s to home agian, he’s probelly referring to his return to the city AFTER the bombs dropped, which also probelly happened AFTER TLS:UC. thank you,come agian! :3

They’ve already been translated. The one at the top is “DEADZONE” and at the bottom is “SURVIVING OPERATIVES UNION CITY HAS BEEN DECLARED A DEAD ZONE. HERC THANKS YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.” Just look near the bottom of the page and you’ll see them.

i dont think Con’s the type of person to go for a “retake the city” type game, “survival” is what he’s best at. Now what WOULD be impressive is to morph the two types of play-types together, TLS:1 and TLS:2′s “defend the barracade at night” sort of thing, but in the day, it goes into the TLS:UC type playthrough, where you scavenge in towns for supplies with a certain time limit, or even better, if your going story-fanatic on us with TLS:4, make it so you do a little bit of the story at daytime, but judging from my previous predictions, that’s not going to happen (food for thought, no?). so whether you truly are going “retake the city” or going back to your old threads with “survive the night”, or whatever you doing Con, know that your fan’s got you backed up 100% and we cant wait for your next game. cheers for your favorite polish/russian/australian h00ker!

Overall I think this is a great game. However, there are some complaints about the game.�
I unfortunately replaced hawk with kelly, and unluckily died when hawk incapacitated. So hawk will be dead permanently, i guess that ok because i think i still got kelly. Surprisingly i found that i couldn’t got kelly back and will not have a companion for the rest of the game. Does it really sounds good? I guess many players will be annoyed by this setting. I hopefully think you could update the game so that kelly would be back or add a new companion for us because fighting alone is very difficult to play the game, especially when i am playing on SURVIVOR difficulty. I cordially hope u would consider updating the game so i WILL continue playing and lessen the complaints about the “companion died” but nothing can do with it.

as he once stated on his (this)blog – “I’m not making TLS UC 2″

If or when he makes another Last Stand game, it would be the third installment to the Last Stand franchise.

He didn’t even say this was about a new game.

To my opinion and well, from the games I’ve played, I guess you’re gonna be scavenging for s*** and supplies, and maybe for some… “dopes and beers” with luck . At night, you’ll arrange survivors with guard shifts (the guard tower photo of day 350) and probably a TLS2 styled mission will appear when a horde approaches. BTW, with the “huh” besides the note, we can think Jack doesn’t know how to decode all of this.
When Mr Condon said UC wasn’t TLS 3, this put things quite… scrambled. Where is TLSUC’s spot in the TLS timeline ?

TLS:UC was supposed to be sometime when the infection started, but it has Jack in Union City.
Jack in Union City means that the infection has been going around for longer than 60 days (20 days TLC1 + 40 days TLC2)

HERC is more like Blackwatch from Prototype than a police force, a government organization that deals with biological disasters and use rather shady methods.

Most of the actual cops from the UCPD are dead.

O.K, I cannot control the anxiety im having right now over this game, i even denied my GF a basicly-free quickie to check the comments, post about 4-6 replies, and then type this entire paragraph tonight.

I have a new theory, one that is equally-strong to my first one.

You are Jack.
You try to escape the city.
You didnt escape the city.
You got stuck in a random building/apartment.
Your crew is dead, and your out of ammo and lost all your guns.
You have to Find survivors, weapons, and survive for a period of time.
You will be playing a TLS:1-2 type survival mode, at night.
You will be playing TLS:UC/TLS:2 travel elements, at day, afternoon, and Evening.
You will travel to different locations, like in the travel element of TLS:2, but it will have a series of side-missions that give you a certain control over the city, a lot like AC:Revelations-templar/assassin control over cities-type-shit.
You will be able to fully-customize your survivors, including clothing, personal stats, and weapons.
You will have zombies trying to take over your shit, like in Rebuild/AC:R.
The game will Last a Infinite amount of time, with resources (ammo, food, water.) being limited, so you have to ration and use wisely.
YOU WILL BE A BADASS.
You will basicly create your own empire. (to show a explanation, Griffin from GOW3, without the selling shit-unless you wanna do that. :3)
YOUR EMPIRE WILL BE BADASS.
The day’s get extremely harder, that way hackers cant win even past a certai number of days, unless those hackers got some serious skill mixed in to their hacker-ways. (a day where everybody should be dead by now, 750-1000, if you aint’ dead by then, your better then con himself at the game.)

no, i just realized while reading your comment the day after posting the first one that the infection didnt come to Union city yet. it started near glendale, or even more west then that, whichever country this is. (probelly the U.S or australia.) and it reached union city in a week. “but how do you know that?” you ask. when in the hospital, looking for your wife in TLS:UC, you will talk to some of the doctors in the safe room, or when you get to the first safehouse in the game, the neighbors and the doctors both state that this has been going on for a week or so, no news of the infection was leaked because HERC didnt want to let the outbreak become public. but HERC couldnt stop the infection, and it eventually reached union city. THANK YOU, COME AGIAN!

Something I can’t still get is that in TLS2 you run to Union City because in day 40 it was going to be destroyed and as you can see in it indeed was destoyed by H.E.R.C. So the question here is… when did Jack arrived? When did you in TLS:UC arrived and how long did you took to “escape” (cause you are pwned by your wife at the end)? Timeline in TLS it’s very confusing.

so just uh, just wanted to say this since everybody seems to be saying something else, you realize there was no TLS3 right, TLS: UC was its own it was a prequel (kinda) in the series of games therefore making this new game if it truly is the next in the series TLS3 not TLS4

TLS:UC was NOT a Prequel. If it was; Jack would have gone to Union City turned around, gone to Glendale, and then turned back around and gone to Union City. It was most likely meant to be a Prequel but was changed later.
