The Last Stand: Union City - Fact Sheet
This is where you’ll find the answers you are looking for to do with The Last Stand: Union City. I’ll add to it as development goes on, but it should be noted that a lot of the time some fairly major design decisions don’t get made until late in my game development process.

Game Features
For a somewhat comprehensive Q&A on all things Last Stand Union City see this post.
- Low violence option to turn down gore and blood effects.
- Low effects option for individual effects such as shell casings, flashes etc.
World Features
- Day / Night cycle.
- Weather.
- Large city with indoor / outdoor areas.
- Searchable containers in the world for items such as weapons, food and clothing.
- Items will be mostly found. Some trading will exist, but will be rare.
- Safe rooms are a possibility, though you’ll be able to rest anywhere.
Character Features
Your character will be named, designed and given skills by you. If you don’t want to get into the RPG thing, there’ll be some pre-made characters for you to choose from. For more character details see the Characters post.
- Customisable character appearance including skin colour, gender, hair and facial hair.
- 5 core attributes Strength, Precision, Endurance, Intellect and Luck.
- Health bar based on characters Endurance attribute.
- Health will take temporary damage which will restore over time and permanent damage which will need aid items to restore.
- Selection of 15 skills to level up.
- Earn experience through actions, where the skills most used are the quickest to advance.
Survivor Features
Survivors are the people you’ll encounter during the course of your travels through Union City.
- Survivors will have their own stories, conversing with them will fill you in.
- Your survivors will follow you around.
- Survivors can die.
Zombie Features
- You will not be able to walk past zombies, they’ll block you.
- Zombies can hear survivors. Make enough noise and they’ll come running.
- Zombies can see survivors, flashlights and room lighting affects their ability to see them.
- Special zombies (similar to Left 4 Dead) have yet to be decided.
- Spawning will be dynamic and based on the player’s current state.
Weapon Features
- All weapons will have a % chance of knockback.
- Firearm attachments such as supressors and scopes
- Firearm attachments will simply increase or decrease accuracy, noise levels and knockback.
- Different ammunition types for weapons (unsure how far I’ll take this)
- Melee weapons of all types
- Limited ammunition
- Spawning will be dynamic and based on the player’s current state.

- Weapon degradation
- Weapon jamming
- Vehicles
- Lasers
- Aliens
- Stuff from other games that you’ve suggested
