I’d like to have an A-91 Russian bullpup within the game. Its a newer type of gun, so if you are looking for something to add related to modern weaponry, this is a fairly good choice.

I would say the m14 but it neither fits being a true sniper or assault rifle therefore I believe the G36C should be included, it is reasonably commonplace worldwide, it has decent mobility and low recoil it would serve as a good mid-range rifle suitable for begineers to spray fire and experts to use in bursts making it more effective hope it may help and good luck

ACR the main reason being this gun uses flechette rounds which can be and interesting way to kill a zombie shoot it a the neck the head comes off shoot it at a leg the leg come off so you could put it where it has increased damage to limbs/head but decreased damage to body.

I’m absolutely loving how everyone is naming guns from Call of Duty, even though some of the labeling of each gun is incorrect in the game. While a bullpup animation would be difficult, the Steyr AUG would be an excellent assault rifle to have in the game. I don’t know what a German gun would be doing in wherever the game is set, but whatever.

Tell me about it. Just for the record, I’ve played all the modern shooters you guys have so I know about all the weapons in them. But like I said, this is about what people are keen to see implemented.

Whatever. I ranted for a gun that shot three at a time, and now I want to go slower. How about a semi automatic assault rifle? It wouldn’t have as much cool down as a rifle or even a pistol, so you could fire away with some good ass accuracy.

Like a AR-15 or M1 Carbine. (Do they still even make those?)

Or hell, lets face it. The FAL from Modern Warfare 2.

Going to second the HK-416, just a sexy sexy gun. The HK-417, alternatively, if you don’t want something so close to the m16. Its basically a longer barrel and chambered for 7.62mm instead of 5.56 like 416. I think it would serve as a good “rare” weapon, actually, in game terms having the accuracy of an m16 but the stopping power of the AK.

I just love the look of the rifles too, for some reason. The integrated rails just make it look so beefy.

I say that you should add the M416 it’s a very good assualt rifle, also Con you should add the Beowulf (it’s just a M4A1 that shoots .50cal rounds) they would be very helpful against the zombies/infected.

M1 Garand it’s not completely ridiculous to find one. Museums, gun enthusiasts, and veterans all would have them. Also I’m almost positive you can buy new ones too. I apologize if this sounds like a double post, but I’ve narrowed down my list to this gun now that people are suggesting semi automatic weapons. Yes, I am aware the reload animation would be strange but I’m sure it’d be worth it.

I would be pretty happy with the Ruger SR-556, or the Sig 556. Plus you should add a Ruger .22, I wouldnt mind having my bullet ricochet around the zombies head. As for handguns, you got the glock handled, you should add the FN Five Seven, and the Makarov, but hey its your choice Con.

How about ak74? It’s a smaller version of the ak47, so I’m not sure if it’s an assault rifle or not.

how about a bushmaster .308. It will be easy because it looks very similar to an AR and its semi auto and you could use it as both assault and even a sniper rifle

How about a badass FN FAL, and possibly an M2 Carbine(Technically not an assault rifle because the round is slightly smaller than the 5.56, but is still fully automatic)?

What about the Semi-Uncommon SA-80, ast least if your looking into a bullpup. Its the standard of all British militaries, and as such, it is often purchased by the US so that soldiers fighting in Joint Combat Forces are Familiar with the other NATO Weapons.

I knew the answer to the Fallout question- it just seems like your making a side-scrolling Fallout with zombies now. Not that that’s bad.

I like the WW2 PPSh-41, but I’m not sure if it’s a SMG or AR, so I’ll just suggest FN Fal.

Me? I’m going to be different and say something civilian. An SKS, Ruger Mini 14 or Ruger Mini 30, perhaps even a Springfield M1A (civilian M14). Some “assault rifle” that would be found in a less gun-friendly area, and wouldn’t look so militaristic for a survivor.

That would be my one suggestion; I don’t particularly care which one you use, I’d just really like seeing a common gun in this kind of game rather than strictly uber military hardware.

So if you don’t mind, I’m going to comment on the other weapons:

The H&K rifles are rabidly kept out of the hands of civilians. I don’t know why, it seems H&K hates the civilian market. You generally only find their stuff for LE, aside from handguns. So, G36, HK416, etc? They’re relatively common, but you’d have to find them from cops. The G3 isn’t exactly common, but the FAL is essentially the same gun, and pretty widespread.

Galil? AUG? SCAR? FAMAS, even? They’re all very uncommon unless you’re in the military. It’s very unlikely you’ll find any of them.

The G11 and XM8 were never put into full production.

The ACR is just about to be put into production, and the Sig 556 and F2000 have been on the market for the time now, so fair chance of finding them. Excellent rifles, too

Forgot to mention that the M14 EBR can be modified to have either an extended magazine or fully automatic fire (single shot or burst). It’s in both BC2 and MW2.

Ok, i am not enough of an enthusiest to know many uncommen ARs and i do not want to spout off another lame COD or BF:2 rifle cause its in a game i like. I checked a couple statistics and ARs make up less than 2% of the american gun market. I know this is probobly much less than the amount you will se in the game but i would love to see a AR that would be realistically found in a gun owners home. Generally that would mean it would have to be semi-auto to be legal but semi-auto still puts zeds down. So again i dont have a particular gun in mind but i would love to see a commen AR owned by US citizens.

How about the Stoner 63 rifle system that was used in a limited capacity during the Vietnam War? Considering that this is a modular system, you could construct at least four distinct guns (single shot rifle variant, full auto rifle variant, full auto LMG, single shot long range variant) from one model (with slight modifications, of course).

some of these uncommon guns arent that uncommon. The tommy gun ( i know its a sub machine gun) can be found in many places, not only wwII fanatics. Dunham sports (sports store) in my town has a tommy gun in the back. Also fin feather fur (hunting store) has a rack of ARs.

Special Forces use the SCAR-L (and H), I’m sure they would be sent to combat the horde.

I laugh at the fact alot of people don’t know what an assualt rifle is. Anywho, what about the newest M series? The M6? It could be the rarest ammo type of 6.72… I know it’s an odd weapon. It has more accuracy then the AK and more power then the M4…. So it would be a reeeeaaalllyyy nice addition. The look is basicly the sane as the M4 . Just a bigger berrel. =)

Just went back to playing some Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Its got some nice guns but overall my favorite AR are the the M4 and the G36C. Id mostly go with the second choice since its like the M4 of the european world.

Since most of assault rifles are more likely identical and just kills just like any other rifles.
I would suggest the SIG-552 commando, just as strong as the G36K, Magpul Masada, AR-15, and other M16 series…As for the AK-47, the sound system can be more realistic, or you can use the sound effects from other games such as Modern Warfare 2, Resident Evil series, hell you can use any sound effects can be suitable for it, most likely the point is you can just keep the AK-47 but change the tone of it. And also replace the M4A1 with the SIG-552…Why?
Modern and advanced rifles work just as the same way as it.

Well, I am a fan of the Australian standard issue assault rifle the Austeyr.
I would also recommend the SA80, used in the British defence force.

I would suggest the HK 416, the Remington ACR(Adaptive Combat Rifle) , the prototype X-M8 , the Tavor TAR-21, and the G36C. =)

Weapons like the new Yugo M70AB2 are considered assault rifles as they still retain the ability to be automatic with minor adjustments, this weapon is used by many shooting groups and clubs in the U.S. (since you are looking for a assault rifle that is more realistically & commonly found in the U.S.)

side note: I am from the U.S. and I am not a gun nut and not many people I know are, in the major cities in the U.S. You will find a lot of hunting rifles in rural areas and the occasional hand gun owner in the city. Where do you people get this idea that we are ALL gun nuts???

Israeli Galil, it has five variants, four of which are assault rifles, Model AR, SAR, ARM, and the Micro, each has its own unique perks and have 5.56 and 7.62 variants, it looks fairly similar to the AK and the have fold-able stocks, oh and the fifth is a sniper rifle if you wanted to know, and sorry if that counts as more than one suggestion

How about the FN F2000?

The Ruger SR-556, an adaptation of the ar-15. It’s sold commercially which means there would be alot more of these then exotic rifles.

I’m slightly confused, because I see a major discrepancy between an ASSAULT (5.56) rifle and a BATTLE (7.62) rifle. Sticking with your request for assault rifles, I vote for the FN SCAR-L. It’s a nice, semi-futuristic looking weapon, and I think it’s a good choice since it won’t require you to fiddle with new reloading animations. Cheers!

Yeah, I was kind of lumping them into the same group. That said, because it’s a FLASH game, weapons like the AK-47, SCAR-H and the FAL will all use the same type of 7.62 and not their slightly differing rounds.

The EBR can be loaded out as a sniper rifle, yes… but the M14 actually has more applications as a CQB assault rifle. That’s why it has magazine modifications which allow soldiers to fire it fully automatic or have larger clips.

Now the Intervention… that’s more of a sniper rifle. The M24 is more of a sniper rifle.

if there ale two M type weapons why not two AK look type weapons. My proposition is wz.96 Beryl or wz.96 Mini Beryl. It’s a polish assault rifle based on AK 74, used in Irack and Afganistan.

I like the AR 70/90, but i prefer the SC 70/90 model.
My suggestions are the H&K G11, or better the Beretta ARX 160, the lattest product by Beretta.
They both look something futuristic, so I think they culd be more original.
Plus I still have not seen already a game with the ARX 160, would be original!

Well, a true assault rifle is a rifle capable of selective fire, fires intermediate cartridge (power level between 5.45 Soviet-7.62 Soviet).

I read your thing on bullpup animations but it may be worth it, the Steyr AUG, FN F2000, FAMAS, and TAR-21, L85, SAR-21, Magpul PDR are all bullpup and pretty popular ARs, nevermind the other bullpups such as the bullpup Barrett and ubiquitous P90, Walther WA2000, Kel Tec RFB are also pretty nice.

I would have liked to see the XM-29 OICW (also a bullpup haha), but only a few prototypes were ever made, and same with the XM-8.

For all you guys saying you wont find an AR in someones house, sounds like you want a touch of realism. But seriously, how realistic is a zombie apocalypse. Ok. And any game w/o an AR sucks ass. So I think you should put in a SCAR at least one type of them b/c they kick ass.

The Last Stand 3 I think should have the M16A4 (you mentioned the M16A2, are they the same gun?). If not then a three bullet burst fire weapon.

i forgot to ask are we going to be able to modify are guns in the game like add a silencer or laser scopes.

Also,I forgot to add, I think there should be some Assault Rifles that should be able to be constructed (but only ,for example, if your character has a background as a weaponsmith etc. etc.). The parts could maybe be scavenged or maybe found from military outposts/bases.

Well, I know it’s been said but I’d Like to see the Steyr AUG. Also, maybe the G3 or FAL. I just want something that’s in 7.62×51 NATO.

I have to Agree with the guy who put the XM-8 Not only because its gotten almost no publicity in any game thus far but because the XM-8 Also has the functionality to quickly become 3 different weapons short range mid range and long range with single, 3 round burst, and full auto to boot could make for a very interesting weapon to get toward the end and be able to switch between all 3

I’d like to see the Heckler and Koch 416. It’s a relativly unknown weapon designed for the us army to replace the M4A1.

Have you considered making a buld in system? like you could take a part from an M4 and add it to an AK-47?

btw 7.62mm is .308 lol, 7.62 by 51mm is its exact demensions, .308 means that the round is .308 of an inch

question: do semi auto-automatic rifles (such as the m14) fall under this category, (i think it should, just differs on oppinions) and i would recomend the k5, its a it has semi/burst/full auto capabilitys.

would have been nice if you had the H&K 416 with a frontal grip and flashlight or the H&K 417. both nice weapons

The AR-15 would be what you would realisticly find looking around in a city unless you were in a police station or military base, so that should be thrown in some residences. Also, maybe you could look to some future assault rifle designs, modular XM8 variants with composite materials like carbon nanotubes and exotic metals like titanium. It would use ammunition like armor piercing or saboted sub-caliber tungsten darts or armor piercing incendiary or explosive rounds or some sort of round that has a core made out of radioactive material. So you could go practical and realistic or exotic and outlandish based on designs for the near future.

G3KA1 or FN Fal single fire would be cool, also putting a .22LR weapon would be awsome for it is one of the best zombie killers small bullet bounces around in the head. also would just like to say the people that voted for the m-14 or m-21 EBR would be good to.
