Most bugs are fixed wich is good, Only on thing however: some zombies “float” over obstacles (not moving their legs). Oh, and Con? Will the flashlight (when holding melee) look like it does now? (In melee he should hold it in his other hand?)

I killed a zombie with a backpack but the stuff it dropped fell behind a trash can so I couldn’t get it

Yeah, that’s a problem at the moment, same thing happens with doors. I’ve got a fix in mind, I’ll update with it soon.

and also, the first time i played i opened a door and couldnt move

Yeah, there’s a bug in there to do with an undefined pickup object that I haven’t tracked down yet. Go into your inventory and delete the item you should be good to go.

Really cool loot con. So far all I have gotten is ammo and food but its still pretty awesome.

Awesome work, only noticed one thing however – I “took all” from a crate containing “undefined object” I then deleted it thinking it must be a bug. I was then not able to move at all – I saved and quit and went back into the game – I still wasn’t able to move (I was floating in mid air near a crate) I refreshed the page and it worked again :/

Yeah as mentioned, picking up an undefined object messes with your total carry weight, which in turn determines your movement speed, broken weight, broken movement speed. Fix forthcoming.

It seems awsome to kill all of the ZBs with MP5K’s N all that but Id like to see the survivors fireing there guns, it seems they dont fire with a G18 and rarely with the MP5K.
All in all a few bugs great game.

a zombie dropped an undefined item, i picked it up and as i entered the next room i couldn’t move, after tossing the undefined item and reentering the previous room everything worked fine…
other than this its a great alpha, like so many others i can’t wait for the game

I have to say I’m rather impressed with this one. I’m looking forward to the beta.

No problems found here outside of what you already mentioned, I think the loot system is pretty good and I imagine it will be tweaked. Since my characters always have high luck and searching I always get goodies.

Sorry to be annoying if this has been answered before but does upgrading the search capability affect loot dropped or is it only based on luck? Its been a pleasure testing the game and I look forward to the next update, keep the good work up!

Ammo for the Fal should be made fairly rare, because from what ive seen its pretty powerful and obviously conserves ammo very well.

w00p.m15 sniper rifle,scar-h xmb,ak46,mp5,the other smg,g7,m119,the tiny gun with 5-7 bullets,compund bow,sledge,bat,kitchen knife, hahaha only some of my huge weapon collection:D,this alpha just keeps getting better^^

so the game is like walking through a big city, shooting zombies and picking stuff up and using it, and here and there pressing a button to sleep? or is there more coming?

Fatties are there, they just need a tonne of artwork to match all the existing clothing. There will be a few female survivors, yes.

wow! great alpha!! i love the FAL. hey con, is there gonna be a hardcore mode like in fallout new vegas? just wondering cause its not in the fact sheet at all. suggestion: when you reload before your entire clip is gone you keep all the ammo you would have lost when dropping the clip. maybe for hardcore mode or something you could make it so you lose the ammo. what do you think?

Excellent, simply magnificent! After I eat I go on the Alpha and keep exploring, the drop ratio is good but a big too long, (for example) Every time I walk into a room I cannot seem to find the zombies with the bags. Some people might disagree, I understand this comment is irrelevant.

Will we have the same weapons in the final game as starters? Like a the knife?

one thing i find odd is that i keep finding the same exact stuff in the same exact places, and i start a new character every time, i found a shotgun in the last alpha and now i can’t find it again =(

I’m just curious, but are the types of items dropped by the zombies decided upon by anything in particular(including searching & Luck stats) or are they just kind of random at this point?

This a pretty awesome alpha but one flaw that i found annoying was that some doors would just not open, it said e to open and it wouldn’t open, I really hope it gets fixed in the next alpha, and I also hope for at least ten rifle choices, )haven’t read about the guns yet

Could ther be a way wer we could customize the survivors looks, maybe after beating the game we could restart it with a bonus features to customize what the survivors wear

Love the FAL but it’s also an assault rifle, not just a one shot and a time weapon. Will it be automatic in the final game?

Pretty good! the survivors are better, but they have horrible reaction time. Also, could you put in an infinite search option too? And what type of ammo and weapon is the bow? One last thing. All this game needs is explosives. (And smarter survivors) If you put a grenade launcher in the next Alpha, you will make a fan very, very happy.

I’m planning to align certain zombie types with your level, so you won’t be encountering Riot Zombies from level one, like you are now. With that, the likelihood of finding rarer items will rise, yes.

I’ve noticed its pretty hard to find a lot of the weapons in the beta. Could you put, just for the beta, all the weapons in a single locker near your starting postion. I would like to see more weapons but I can never find the unless I want to spend a hour killing zombies hoping one of them drops one.

Finding the weapons is more important to my testing.

I loved the customising and finding the Sv-SMG and MP5.

Also, with the FAL, how does the survivor shoot it so fast? If the survivor has the Battle Rifle, you won’t need to do any work at all, I can actually minimize the game on my browser, leave for a while, come back and there is loads of loot to collect from the enemy drops.

Con, great alpha but im starting to wonder if this game is going to become to big “data wise” and not handle well on some computers/laptops. Also relating to alpha and zombie types…Dogs?

If by too big you mean a 20mb download and a 10mb save file (at most), then ahhh…yeah. If you mean performance, there’s plenty of options to lower the quality which speeds up performance on older machines quite a bit.

It’s already in there. There is an M9 that resembles the Beretta M9 in game. There’s the PPM9 as well, which you’re confusing it with.

I’ve played for abut 5 hours straight, restarting and doing everything i can, and I’ve found every weapon except the M9, and any of the 5.56 assault rifles. Is it just me?

First and foremost, Con, your work so far has been nothing less but impressive. I think people sometimes forget what an undertaking it is to make a Flash game of this scale. People tend to look down on online games as a lesser form of entertainment, but this one will most likely bring some change to that.

Also, even if it doesn’t have everything that every zombie fan would want, it will still be probably the biggest and most popular flash game to date. Personally as an action and RPG fan I’m sold whenever someone combines the both well. I tip my hat to you, sir. Or the digital one at least, I hate using them in real life.

Hey, it is really good. Only one thing, you run out of ammo, ReALLY quickly. I hope it will be a bit more abundant in game. I think maybe you could add an ammo box or somthing that has spawning ammo for the moment? Just a suggestion.

pretty fun, been raising luck stat trying to find items, i found a shotgun and rasberry jelly of a zombie, the shotguns ammo when u shoot doesnt go down from 100.. can u keep it that way? and more 9mm pistol ammo needs to drop, i found the other types of ammo easier.

yo, con can you make like an overrun military base were there are military zombies and lockers with:m4,m16,m14,m9,ak47,m24 and (my dad is in the military so i know of this weapon and, yes it is real) the experamental m41a rifle ( it looks like a winchester with a drum magazine hanging out the side) and well its just an idea so you dont have to but it would be awesome and simple:zombies? youll need a big gun, big guns are at any military own area. peace!

Is is possible to find a military armoury, similar to Fort Tran in LS2? Because it would be an awesome place to unlock at the end of the game as an outpost and weapons depot. Following in the fine traditions of the Last Stand series.

Hey Con,

I don´t really follow the idea of what the guy called “My name is Alex” said, but as I look at it from different point of a view, it comes to as a good idea ,to have the survivors, who will not be as glad as the other to be seeing you. You know what I mean – the idea is, that it would be more realistic,that not each person you would encounter would be likely to be helping you. According to some horror movies, or some literature, while you want the people be acting in this game, you must consider the human nature to be selfish, and not always good. I mean, as in real world, so in the game, which plot is based on apocalypse, which only few have survived, the rest of those who survived would have only survival on their mind, and for some (I think) would be next to impossible even to think of leaving good guarded building and to follow one guy, to almost certain death.
Think about it – rogue survivors would be great revival of the never-ending zombie killing, that the player would have to have the instincts sharp, that anyone can harm him, even the alive ones.
Sorry, to took you so long reading this, and as for the end, great alpha, just like every one you made

You got it. Game doesn’t let you know you don’t have room at the moment. I’m changing the weight system, so it won’t matter.

No I mean on mine, it’s crazy fast, no way anyone could click that fast or pull the trigger that fast. I really like having somebody there to help, but you don’t want people to walk around and just let the survivor do all the work, well, except for melee, which he less than exceeds in. In the final game, will the survivors randomly generate like they do now? Because then there will be males and females, your survivor may end up male in one room and female in the next, which would be capital hilarious.

Where would you find drugs in a zombie apocalypse? Maybe that should be in the game, you should be able to look under a bed and find drugs lol. There should also be zombies that have been impaled by pipes and wood and stuff. Sorry for all the comments Con.
