I have a problem with units automatically advancing without orders.

There could be two squads of rifleman, and a machine gunner, and my men would still go up and over on their own.

Gets kind of annoying when my bazooka team do that, they cost a lot.

Is it just me, or does the D-Day machinegunner speed up and slow down shooting erratically? Like fire only a few bullets and then slaughter a whole squad.

I didn’t see if this was posted or not but after winning a battle I clocked upgrades before the end exp. When I closed the upgrade window the end exp showed up and then the next battle auto completed.

Omg hey look con i passed the i think carentan mission in 45 seconds

Con, you have to fix this glitch RIGHT NOW. Some times when I hit OK for a new weapon, the button doesn’t work and it just stays there. This is FUCKING ANNOYING! I get to start all over again.

Ok, less with the teen aggro and more with the information. What happens when you click ok? Do you:
- Get a click sound?
- Does the screen change at all?
- Can you click and get a sound on multiple occassions?
- Does it only happen on the new weapon dialog boxes?

Well anyway good luck with the development of the next game. Hope that after you will end the story of Last Stand you will go and continue from where you left in Sin Mark

Is there any way to have multiple units behind cover at once, or is it just a glitch that they automatically move on their own?

Also, Jackal’s problem happened to me to. He means the bonus EXP you get from finishing a level, for whatever reason after clicking OK at that window it skipped the next battle and showed the bonus EXP window again, with the same stats.

The cover is limited to one unit per cover. I did try it the old way, but it made it hard to select the unit you wanted about 80% of the time.

Pretty awesome Con, I just finished playing through both the campaigns, some complaints, but nothing big of course:

-Assault troops were the backbone of W1917, they owned everything, tanks, infantry, all the same, now they are almost useless, they cost 50% more (300% more with the very useful german conscription upgrade) than riflemen, have shorter range, have 2 less men per unit, and they have the same grenades that riflemen have. Sure, they can “suppress” the enemy, but I don’t find that too useful, machineguns do it better, and grenades outright kill the enemy 90% of the time, Riflemen are so much more useful in this game than Assault troops, since now they have longer range, are more durable, cost considerably less, are faster to “reload”, and have the same grenades, the only reason I see to use assault is that they can damage tanks a little bit, but air support from an officer is so much better, I’ll cover that in another point

-Bazookas/Panzershrecks seem too good, yes, they are good against armor, as expected, but they also own infantry, they have longer range than most infantry units (i’m pretty sure longer range than all but sniper), and their rocket is akin to a grenade, if it lands near the enemy, it’s a one hit kill, the bazooka is like a grenade spamming guy basically, except the grenades are free, and extra long range

-Tanks seem overly powerful against infantry (they rape infantry, regardless of how much cover they have), but overly weak to fire support. No infantry can stop a tank basically, bazookas stand a chance, but they are hard to amass, and once the tank is in range, they are mincemeat anyways. However, one air support, and the tank is dead, makes me question the tank killing power of the bazooka/tank compared to just using an officer.

-Lastly, didn’t notice this till well into the german campaign, but air support is free from the officers, which is just rediculously overpowered, Here, let me show you a pic:

I spammed it as many times as I could, still had lots of reinforcment points, and you can even see 2 planes on the screen at the same time. Air support is so overpowered right now it’s not even funny, destroys infantry easily, destroys tanks with just one pass, after I beat the game without this strategy, I did the final german campaign mission again with just one officer, and I won easily. I just spammed air support the whole time, it was quite rediculous really.

Overall, what I think:

-Assault needs something better to make them appealing for use, right now they are outclassed in almost every way by riflemen

-Bazookas are too good against regular troops (they can act as a sniper against troops in cover), but they aren’t that good against tanks since tanks decimate them when in range

-Tanks are too vulnerable to air support, one pass and they are taken out. THey also might be too good against infantry, that’s the impression I’m getting at least.

-Air support is free and overly powerful. At the very least the free part of it needs to be fixed.

Overall great game though, had a lot of fun with it, I’ll be sure to play skirmishes tomorrow when I got the time.

i found a glitch but it doesn’t really matter, just thought you should know. as germans when you buy the upgrade that makes rifle men cost less, it still says they cost 200, it says minus 200, but it really only takes away 100 (like its supposed to)

I beat the Us campaign in 30 mins Great game actually able to beat it this time. The Cover aspect needs work for example no more than 1 squad can hide behind cover i think you need to fix it so that 2-3 can hide behind it so assalts with assault and riflemen are easier cant wait for last stand 3

I think all the people who have slow computers are getting problems….;(

but overall its an awesome game very well done and to me funniest part was holding off the US invasion on the german campaign

At first it was a little hard but as I got into it I had a blast having to flank from both sides in the battlefield and using support to accomplish the mission

only one fraustrating thing, when there is a riflemen sqaud and a tank comming at you, the bazooka team will aim for the riflemen sqaud and get owned.

I thought that this game brought a new aspect to the flash gaming industry, but I think there are a few flaws. My first complaint is actually a bug that I think is very annoying. What happens is; I would deploy a squad of anything and the squad would go right through the cover that I want them to be at. And yes I mean they would walk right through the cover. My second complaint is that you can only put one squad of troops into cover, when in Warfare 1917 you could put 3 in a trench. I know you can not change this now but I think It would be nice for future games. Another thing is the difficulty. The game is some what hard but the damage of a specific squadron should be changed. For example the bazooka should be more powerful. These changes should apply to a lot of other squads. Other than those things I think this game is great!

It takes a while to get used to it, but once you do its freakin awesome. Oh yeah, and the German air support glitch was funny. It isn’t a battle winning technique but I had fun calling endless attacks.

Bazooka men have the same range as snipers. That’s annoying when ur on the defense.

the german campaign is super hard but fun. There is a glitch wear sometimes my men just go right threw cover and they dont stop… its really annoying

The last few levels on each campaign are very hard. Some times when I deploy units they will walk past incoming enemy troops, which is very annoying. And on 1 or 2 occasions, I bought a unit, I saw my resources deplete, and the unit did not deploy!

Dude best flash game i’ve played in a long while! 10/10 but 1 thing it occationally freezes, and also it would soooooo cool if you could make a multiplayer edition!

I Know everyone and their grandma is going to shoot me for what I’m about to tell you, but you need to hold LS3 off until you fix the one thing that even mildly resembles a blight in your Flash history, Sin Mark. Sin Mark 2 should be your next game, no matter what anyone else says, because the upgrade system was the only thing that was utterly perfect, everything else was average, and not average for you. Sin Mark had enormous potential, but that could hardly be tapped in the first version of the game, so I suggest you do an overhaul on Sin Mark, which hopefully won’t take very long, and then you start with LS3. If you need help with anything, you have a battalion of fans that will jump off a bridge at your word.

I have won both companies. Game difficult, but there it is easy to win by means of strategy.

Just a comment to ed 20 minutes ago i was on the usa campaign and with two squads riflemen and assult team, i deestroyed a tank and a half .
then rokets took kare of the rest.

hey con bout those assault troopers being kinda of lame now, what do you think about making them faster like 40% faster and bout 20% harder to hit that would balance everithing.

Just a general comment in respect of indeed a great game: US campaign is quite simple to accomplish. Actually it could be finished with the minor upgrades, without paying any attention to the assault/defense tactics and the role of different units at the battlefield. I would, if you please, to opt for (a) more missions for US troops, as well as (b) reconsideration of the units abilities, as previously suggested by Ed (comment No. 59).

Great game but it needs a bit more debugging:

*On the Graveyard Level, German morale slowly depleates, even between shootouts and when Allies die.
That’s because you’ve got them outnumbered, happens on all levels.

* On the first level where you get tanks, enemies sometimes have artillery support without officers
That’s because you have a brain and the A.I doesn’t, not really fair now is it?

* Bazooka men have longer ranges then almost all other infantry
That’s because they have to fight tanks.

* What were assault troops for again?
Assault troops need a boost, they got a bit lost amongst the others getting buffed.

* Germans can sometimes fit multiple groups into a single patch of cover
Bug, not intentional.

*Assault troops occasionaly skip over some barracades
Bug, not intentional.

*The american campaign is tougher than the German one
Not intentional. Defending is easy it turns out. Might remove the descriptions to stop the complaining…

Just fix these and the game would be better. But overall, pretty good as is.

In warfare 1917 u had much more control of ur troops ! in 1944 the infantry n stuff goes automatically over sandbags/walls/…

I’ve only played the allied campaign so far.
I’d have to say the difficulty is just right now.

Rather then Warfare 1917, where the trick was to build up plenty of assault infantry and mass charge, it seems 1944 is won by whoever moves first. Once I got the hang of this, the battles were a breeze.

In fact, that was practically the only way to beat the Axis Normandy landing.

What does the surpressing fire do?

a little disapointing but probly only casue 1917 was so perfect, i hated that 2 snipers cant share a pices of cover when a team of 5 reflmen can. stuff like that just kind of makes me mad, but thanks for such a great game.

I had a problem when I went to continue my campaign, I lost the upgrades for grenades (both types.) Although I had the ability to purchase the upgrade to all handheld explosives. Please fix this con.

Right, first of all great game. I’ve loved it so far and I think it’s sweet.

Anyway, I found some sort of small glitch. When you are on the Wehrmacht campaign, and you click on the scharfschtze upgrade to improve your snipers accuracy, it shows the fortify upgrade picture instead of the regular one. Here’s what I mean:

Con, all up a terrific game! Some missions were easy and some way too hard, but most were that perfect mixture of balance!

I would have liked to be able to purchase all of the upgrades but I guess that would have given me too much of an advantage hey? I loved the Wermacht upgrade of riflemen costing only 100. I loved sending countless Nazis to their dtriumphant deaths! XD
On that note, I don’t know if I am being too picky; but when you purchase that upgrade, the cost goes down from 200 to 100 right? But when you click on the rifleman, it still lists the cost as being 200. I am probably just being fussy though.

The tanks were great! Not too easy to kill but not too hard when you got those bazookas in there! And the artillery and plane support were well balanced too. It pissed me off no end having my fortified trench being gunned down by a torrent of plane machine-gun fire!

The cover system in ways was better than that of 1914, because you had more cover, varied patterns, ability to use supresing fire and pretty much just the blending into the surrounding environment. The only problem I had was that there were weird numbers happening. I think someone already said; you can fit an infantry squad of 5 into cover but not 2 snipers. That was annoying but not the end of the world.

So let’s see: Awesome sides and troop choice, awesome upgrades and abilities, excellent tanks and planes, great cover system and a balanced game.

All up it took me about 20 minutes to complete the game, a respectable time for a flash online game. And I spent another 2 hours on custom maps.

So I think you have once again presented us with a great game. It was a terrific sequel to 1917, and did not dissapoint. I hope you will read my comments and suggestions and you should really be proud of yourself.

Only one last question: when’s the next Warfare coming out ;D

Not sure if it’s a mistake, but the Sturmtruppen’s description says “Strong vs. Entrenched”.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen a single trench in the American Campaign, and neither up until level 5 of the German Campaign. Would you consider staying behind a hedgerow entrenched?

Maybe you could change the description slightly? I’m not sure if I’m right, but I believe “Entrenched” stands only for trenches?

Ok, I just played both campaigns and all the skirmish maps. Here are some buggies that I found:

-After purchasing the discount upgrade, you cannot see the discounted price. For Americans, you still have to have enough money for initial price of the unit to buy it, although you get rebate or something. E.x (To buy a riflemen after discount it should cost 150, but you still need to have 200 stacked up to buy it, although you’ll have 50 left after)

-On the skirmish maps, if you play tank vs tank only on the plains, it takes the German A.I. over a minute to pump out a tank

-Assault troops in WWII was mainly a Soviet thing (not really a bug, just a historical inaccuracy)

-Smoke grenades are pretty useless

-In the cemetary German campaign, I somehow managed to fit a sniper and a machingun team together in one cover

How does the game save itself?
I finished the US campaign then started the German campaign, got to level 3, accidentally quit, tried to get back in, but it still saved the US campaign.

Everyone, lvl 1 is soooo easy, you snipe the guys behind the baracades with bazooka men. (American)

A few comments on the game so far:

1. Bazooka-Troops seem overpowered to ground troops. They should miss more often against troops in cover and hit armoured targets harder.

2. Like mentioned before, aussault teams have to be buffed, they pretty much suck so far.

3. There are a few minor translation or spelling mistakes in the german campaign, for example in one screen it spells Wermahct or the Sniper upgrade is named Scharfschtze (right: Scharfschuetze).

4. The mortars rock. Simply love them.

Con……. what have you given us?? You dare call this piece of crap a game by you??? 1. The Bazooka teams have longer range than everything but a sniper. What is up with that? So now when ever the enemy calls in a bazooka team I have to throw a squad at them to take them out and lose that entire squad too. And a bazooka team can easily wipe out an entire assualt team even when they’re both shooting at each other 2. Some emplacements can hold 1 sqaud some 2 but it doesent say anywhere. 3. Why cant the advancment option be chosen like it was in 1917 now it takes longer to tell your men to move 4. Why cant we lock the emplacements this also makes it more complicated. 5. It is stupid how I have to bring in an officer just to call in an airstrike or a artillery barrage. 6. On that hold the lne mission in the german campaign you have the sand bags set where the one in middle is slightly ahead of the rest? Well that tiny difference between them ruins the level because all the enemys just slaughter the center guys and my flank guys dont even twitch. 7. The cover was poorly placed. 8. It didnt tell us what was so important about each cover. A cover description would be nice 9. The 2nd mission in the U.S. campaign where you have to take out that take it says to “ambush” it. Well I had a Bazooka team on each flank and when the tank rolled it it jsut instantly blew them to pieces. 10. It is way to complicated. I liked how in 1917 it was one line trenches simple way to call in airstrikes. All in all I am greatly disapointed……. But hey hopefully you make another warfare hey just an Idea Warfare: 2552 Halo just an idea. But still greatly disapointed

I never got a chance to talk about balance. Even though aircraft owns, it has a mark to show where it’s going to give your troops a little chance. Also, tanks can kill anyone, but bazooka men help equal it out. Thanks for making the game so good and balanced, and for adressing my other comments.

What the heck is this?

A squad of five riflemen can take cover behind something, but two snipers can’t share the same spot?

Twenty-five enemy rifleman, and a machine gun team can take cover behind one piece of cover, but I can’t?

It’s a bug. They should only have one squad in cover, just like you. I might change it though to drown out the shrill noise of high pitched baby whining.

Great game! I really enjoyed playing through the Allied campaign. One bug though, why is it that some units german vs. allied pass one another. I’ve lost major morale by flanking due to this bug.

There’s a buffer at the edge of screen so that you don’t have units fighting enemies that you can’t see off screen. I might remove or shorten it, seems to be bugging people that they can’t block flank attacks.

One question. Why is it that when one squad is in cover, but when another squad comes to use the same cover, it jumps over right away instead of using it.

A.I problem, they’re not checking for available cover all the time. So if you send a squad out of cover, the squad moving behind them still thinks that the cover is full. Might adjust it to check if it’s available just before they get in.

Found a few bugs

On the German campaign air support is free.

Sometimes the AI will call in artillery and air support with no officers on the field, I even even did this on a skirmish map with officers disallowed to make sure of this, and it does.

Sometimes when an enemy unit is not far from the end of the map they will walk by deployed units, reaction time is too slow.

Sometimes units walk through cover instead of getting behind it, very annoying (and no units are not already there)

Lastly ive seen Germans at times have 2 different units behind cover, which is unfair.

Apart from that great game, challenging, completed both campaigns.

Oh my God!!!!!!! This game is so addicting!!!! But sometimes it’s really hard. Like in the cemetary the battle went on for 14 minutes. I beat the Allied campaign and tried the german campaign but it was really hard on the first level. I’m going to try it again now.

Yeah, that’s an old legacy bug from the first Warfare. Think I’ve fixed it in v1.1.

I think you did a great job on the tanks, How they turn to shoot you and you can take out different things on the tank, Like engine, Machine gun, Or main gun. It makes it really realistic.

I already beat the us campaign and it’s pretty easy but this is massively beyond the last game.

Great game, felt a bit short (the US Campaign) but still good, I enjoyed it, just got the german campaign to do now

entrenched does not mean in a trench entrenched means in cover in fortifications although trench got its name from it

There is a bug with the cost cut in the upgrade sys : like, for a tank that will cost you 600 instead of 800, you still need to have the 800 to be able to pay the price (wich is 600 and leaves you with 200)…

Really great gameplay but a bit short. Still, really great work man.

Another thing : would need some kind of random missions. Like the custom options but that chooses randomly all the possibilities. Like a “quick play” option, something like that.

Something needs to be said for german air support. ill have an assault squad and rifle squad advancing when they get strafed by a german plane when there is no officer to direct it

Yep, couldn’t be bothered implementing the AI for functional officers on the enemy side.

This was a fucking awesome game! There are a few bugs till but they don’t bother me at all when i play it. All i can say is that it was one nice game.

You should have put a battle of the bulge on the Wehrmacht campaign. The germans could push them back a bit in the mission before.

MonkeyCommandoe, you suck balls! How can you say something like that? Con has put days, weeks into this game just for our entertainment. He endures our whinging and fixes problems but he does not have to endure slander. You stepped way out of line before. Give constructive criticism and advice, don’t bag his work. He put a lot of effort into this and does not have to do anything for anyone, but he does anyway.

Con, great work, like I said before. Thanks for all your hard work! If you want more advice and compliments look up to my previous massive post, which you somehow overlooked!

Many guys said it – it´s super game and you did good job. It has only 1 major problem – missing multiplayer.Yes,I know you wrote about this,but… Warfare with multiplayer = best flash game ever been.

Hmm well I have a ” bug ” to report , if it is one . Maybe someone has already said it and so you may already be working on it , but oh – in that case I doubt i would be writing here right now .

So in the German Campaign , the level where you have Panzerfaust for the first time , there’s only one Sherman that comes , but in the US Army counterpart of this mission I have already counted tree Panzer III .

So is that a bug , or you “realy” wanted to make that mission short ( oh well , it depends if you can get to the other side of the screen quickly or not ) with only one tank to get destroyed ?
